Lead Soldiers 25mm Wearing Desert Uniforms With Elephants Pulling Artillary Wagons

This shelf piece consists of several miniature mounted lead soldiers with artillery wagons pulled by elephants secured to a piece of wood. They are most likely part of a war games set, made popular by H. G. Wells in his 1913 book, War games. Traditional two inch lead figures were originally used by war game enthusiasts, but by the 1940s the gaming crowd was looking for smaller portable sets, 25mm became a common size. The detail on each piece is incredible. The soldiers are wearing clothing to protect them from the harsh weather of the dessert, and the artillery wagon is pulled by elephants.
This little display piece would be perfect in a man's office, or a masculine den.

Measures 2 inches tall, 10 inches long, and 2 inches wide. The soldiers are each around an 25mm tall, the height is hard to perfectly gage as the lower part of each piece is secured in some type of glue.
