These leather outseam softballs are a very interesting find. Produced mainly from 1920-1930, these softballs were often used for indoor or playground use.
They both measure 13" in circumference and both have a raised seam. The second ball (option 2) is slightly worn along the seam from use. The raised seam made them more durable, thus, they lasted longer than regular stitched balls.
There are no makers marks stamped on either one -- likely worn off from use. These are a wonderful example of sports memorabilia with patina and display potential. They do have some markings from the original owner written on the first ball.
